Robert Schaul, Vice President Strategy at Limbik
Robert Schaul is currently serving as the Vice President Strategy at Limbik, a position he has held since March 2023.1 Prior to this, he worked at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) for over 5 years, where he led analysis and resilience policy for the Countering Foreign Influence task force within the Elections Security Initiative.1
Some of Schaul's key responsibilities at CISA included:
- Framing and defining foreign influence for the Department, creating baseline materials, and drafting policy1
- Developing new analytic capabilities for foreign influence monitoring and assessment1
- Briefing Congressional staff, leadership, foreign governments, and relevant communities on foreign influence1
- Establishing relationships with international entities to ensure rapid and effective information flow1
Before joining CISA, Schaul worked as a Cyber-Infrastructure Analyst at the agency from September 2016 to January 2018.1 He has also served as an International Law Observer at the U.S. Department of State, observing and reporting on proceedings at international institutions in The Hague.1
Schaul holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) in International Law and Legal Studies from American University Washington College of Law, as well as a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from the same institution.1 He also has a Bachelor's degree in International and Comparative Politics from the American University of Paris.1
Additionally, Schaul is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a member of the Maryland Bar.1
