Robert Blair

Robert Blair is a distinguished professional with a solid educational background and extensive experience in various government and technology organizations.

He earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University's The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, a Master of Arts from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.

Robert has held key positions in different renowned institutions, including his current role as Senior Director for 5G and External Affairs at Microsoft.

His previous roles include Director of Policy and Strategic Planning at the United States Department of Commerce, Special Representative for International Telecommunications Policy at The White House, and Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to the Chief of Staff at The White House.

Before that, he also served as Associate Director for National Security Programs at the Office of Management and Budget within the Executive Office of the President.

Robert's experience extends to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he worked as Staff Director for both the Subcommittee on Defense Appropriations and the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee. He also served as Minority Clerk for Energy and Water Development Appropriations and as Professional Staff for the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee.

Additionally, he has contributed to foreign affairs as a Regional Advisor for Africa at the U.S. Department of State Office of International Health Affairs and has demonstrated his commitment to sustainable agriculture as a Volunteer with the Peace Corps.

His vast experience in government agencies, coupled with his current leadership role at Microsoft, showcases his expertise in policy-making, strategic planning, international relations, and technology advancements.
