Rob Lloyd

Rob Lloyd is a prominent technology executive and a member of the Board of Trustees at Santa Clara University. He has a distinguished career in the tech industry, notably serving as the CEO of Virgin Hyperloop One from 2015 to 2018, where he played a key role in advancing innovative transportation technologies. Prior to that, he spent over 21 years at Cisco Systems, where he held various leadership positions, including President of Development, Sales, and the Internet of Things (IoT), overseeing a global workforce of approximately 40,000 employees.12

Lloyd has been a trustee at Santa Clara University since June 2016, contributing his extensive experience in technology and leadership to the institution's governance.23 He is also involved in various philanthropic efforts, serving as Vice Chairman of Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis and on the boards of several non-profit organizations focused on education and youth opportunities.14

In addition to his professional roles, Lloyd is an advocate for educational access and believes in the transformative power of education for young people from diverse backgrounds.12 He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and resides in California with his family.2
