Ricky Toran

Ricky Toran, a Nashville native, is an East Nashville High and ITT Technical Institute graduate with an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering.

As the founder of Hypeman Rick Productions, a Minority Business Enterprise and Nashville Chamber of Commerce member, he serves as the Executive Producer of "Not Just Country", a music platform showcasing the diverse music scene of Nashville beyond just country music.

"Not Just Country" aims to provide exposure to emerging artists, feature interviews with top music industry professionals, and spotlight renowned artists based in Nashville.

Ricky Toran's extensive experience includes performing with the VC Strut Band for eight years, alongside notable artists like Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Gov't Mule, and Naughty By Nature.

He has recorded with various artists and performed with musicians like Jonathan Winstead and Tim Dillinger.

Ricky's involvement in the music industry extends to his role as the Executive Producer of "Food Chain (TheMovie)" and his membership in the Recording Academy from 2013 to 2015.

Additionally, he has held positions on the board of organizations like Why We Can't Wait, Inc and Suga Momma's, and has been recognized for his contributions to the music scene, including nominations at the NIMA (Nashville Independent Music Award) and Soul Food Poetry Café.

With a background in television production, marketing, and talent scouting, Ricky Toran brings a wealth of expertise to his projects in the entertainment industry.
