Rick Prieto

Rick Prieto is a highly-regarded attorney with years of experience fighting for the rights of employees in labor and employment law cases. He is a Board Certified Labor and Employment Law specialist and has been recognized for his dedication and successes in the field, being selected for inclusion on the Texas Super Lawyers' "Rising Star" list multiple times, and named "Litigator of the Week" by Texas Lawyer. Prieto has a vast array of experience representing individuals in various employment-related matters, including wage and hour class actions, and with discrimination laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Furthermore, his extensive experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating employment agreements has proven beneficial for his clients.

Prieto studied Political Science at Texas A&M University before continuing his education at Oklahoma City University, where he received his Doctor of Law (J.D.). He is a member of the College of the State Bar and a contributing author to the American Bar Association's FLSA Midwinter Report.

Currently, Prieto is a Partner at Shellist Lazarz Slobin LLP, where he previously served as both Senior Associate and Associate Attorney.
