Richard Morecroft is a highly experienced fintech expert with over 25 years of leadership experience in innovation-driven growth in the fintech, telco, insurance, and financial services sectors. Having studied Management, Engineering at the University of Greenwich, he also studied at the London Business School. Richard has a proven track record of building fintech innovations and leading digital transformations. He specializes in digital transformation, change leadership, strategy and innovation, stakeholder management, people, process and operations development, and product development and execution. Throughout his career, Richard has managed budgets of over £150m and delivered game-changing products and services.

He has built and operated several fintech/remittance platforms in the Middle East and EU/USA, and integrated MoneyGram into a telco platform, a world first, demonstrating his deep and proven understanding of payments and remittance technology, regulation, and commercial /operating models. Richard was formerly Head of Mobile Money at Ooredoo and Director, New Business at Qtel, Director, SP&M Transformation at Openreach, and Director at Carphone Warehouse.

His experience also extends to education, and he was formerly a lecturer at EMERITUS Institute of Management. He is presently serving as a Chief Operating Officer, PLC Board Member, and Founder at Mode, where he is focused on building new value propositions, creating competitive advantage, and rapid business growth/profit.
