Vice President, Creative Excellence and Brand Health Tracking

Key responsibilities are communicating with clients to develop, execute, and report on quantitative research projects. My research focuses on brand and advertising tracking, as well as some advertising/copy pre-testing.  I work closely with my clients to understand their businesses needs and objectives, and I tailor research endeavours to address them. I leverage my expertise in analytics to develop and implement new and improved research and analytical methods. These have included the integration of a MaxDiff (Best-Worst or trade-off) to attribute importance in brand research, a statistically valid approach for testing Net Promoter Scores, and an approach to ad impact analysis to control for brand usage.

I managed qualitative and quantitative marketing and public opinion research projects. I was involved in research execution from end-to-end, including survey design and sample planning, project management, and analysis, report writing, and presentation of the research results to clients.I developed and applied statistical procedures to help clients better understand the results of their research. The techniques that I most frequently applied evaluated the attitudinal drivers of behaviour or the relationships between attributes and overall satisfaction. I also conducted more specialized analyses, including time-series analyses, and penalty-reward analyses.

Research Consultant - Analytics

I worked closely with Director of Compliance, Inspection, and Enforcement to develop a risk-based monitoring strategy for Long Term Care (LTC) Homes. My work included developing the initial framework for the monitoring strategy, including (1) organizing and mapping of potential risks in LTC Home operations, (2) constructing a data-based model of sanctions and remedies for LTC Homes in violation of operational standards, and (3) developing legislation to implement the monitoring plan.

I was responsible for evaluating a risk-based monitoring strategy for Community Care Access Centres. Before evaluating the strategy, I became familiar with risk management concepts and procedures, and then assessed the validity of a model for prioritizing monitoring by consulting a workgroup about the accuracy of the outputs. After evaluating the monitoring strategy, I prepared a final report and presentation that documented the project history, development process, and testing outcome. I presented the results to the Director of the Home Care and Community Support branch.

While working at an HRDC branch office, my primary responsibility was to monitor and ensure legislative compliance of Summer Career Placement funding recipients (employers) and participants (students). I also collected data and evaluated the employment equity of funding recipients in South-Eastern Manitoba. In addition, I prepared, organized, and executed private and public functions for National Public Service Week 2004.

Employment Equity Student Internship Program

My primary responsibility as a graduate teaching assistant was to lead discussion seminars with undergraduate students. These discussions addressed contemporary issues in psychological research (e.g., gender issues, racism, etc.). I also worked with individual students to clarify course content and marked term papers, tests, exams and other assignments. I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Introductory Psychology, Social Psychology, and Quantitative Research Methods courses.

I conducted social psychology experiments regarding social cognition, miscommunications, and prejudice. I also wrote literature reviews concerning cross-race friendships and coded qualitative data collected from open-ended responses.

I worked in an inbound call centre providing customers with computer technical support for a variety of software and hardware including Windows platforms, networking, and internet software. As a result of my eagerness to understand operations at the call centre and my computer abilities, I was provided with other opportunities including coaching and training my co-workers, and assisting supervisors to maintain management information systems (primarily MS Excel spreadsheets) relating to payroll, employee appraisals, and employee productivity figures.
