Ray Zahab is a renowned adventurer and youth advocate who has undertaken numerous extreme expeditions across deserts, the Arctic, Antarctica, and Siberia.
In 2008, Ray established impossible2Possible (i2P), an organization dedicated to inspiring and educating youth through adventure-based learning and inclusion in expeditions. The i2P Youth Expeditions involve students from around the world, providing them with opportunities to actively participate in expeditions and educational programs at no cost.
Ray is a sought-after speaker who has shared his experiences at various prestigious events globally, including TED, IOC World Conference, and The Economist World. He has also appeared on major news networks and talk shows such as CNN, CBC, and BBC.
In addition to his work with i2P, Ray has volunteered with organizations like Ryan's Well Foundation, ONExONE, and SpreadTheNet. He has received accolades such as the ONExONE Difference Award, Torchbearers Award, and the Meritorious Service Cross of Canada for his contributions.
Ray's commitment to exploration and advocacy has earned him fellowships from the Royal Geographical Society and Canadian Geographical Society. He was appointed to the Internal Advisory Committee by the Minister of Environment in Mongolia and designated as an Explorer in Residence by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
Ray Zahab has engaged in a wide range of expeditions and adventures, including the Trans Namibia Expedition, Arctic Solo Expedition, Patagonia Desert Expedition, and Baffin Island Winter Traverse. He has completed multiple ultras as an ultramarathon runner, along with the 'Running The Sahara' expedition covering 7500km in 111 days.
