Rashad Norris
Youth Engagement Specialist/Equity Diversity Inclusion and Injustice Consultant
Rashad Norris is the Founder and Executive Director of Relevant Engagement Consulting LLC, based in Tacoma, Washington. He is a nationally recognized educator, consultant, and advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), with over 15 years of experience. His work focuses on empowering youth of color, particularly Black and Brown males, as well as incarcerated youth, through culturally relevant teaching, motivational workshops, and community engagement initiatives.12
Norris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communication from the University of Puget Sound, where he also played basketball, and a Master’s in Public Administration from The Evergreen State College. He has served as adjunct faculty in Communications and Human Relations at institutions such as Highline College and Bates Technical College.12
Through Relevant Engagement Consulting LLC, Norris collaborates with schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to provide professional development workshops, culturally responsive training, and juvenile rehabilitation services. He is also the founder of impactful programs such as the Black and Brown Male Summit at Highline College and the Men of Culture Academy (MOCA).123
His work extends to conducting healing sessions with incarcerated teens as part of their reentry process and advising institutions on creating equitable learning environments. Norris is known for his innovative approaches to DEI and his ability to foster authentic dialogue and tangible outcomes within diverse communities.12
