Selected areas of direct leadership include:

Brand Management: Led a nationwide research project to understand awareness, perceptions, and overall brand strength.  

Customer Segmentation: Led a nationwide research project, with heavy quantitative analyses, to identify target customers based on product/concept acceptance and rejection.  Presented findings to CEO and CMO.

Direct Sales: Responsible for leading and driving direct sales efforts to small and medium sized businesses.  

New and Existing Product Development: Scoped markets, services and products for US distribution. Gross margin increase from 35% to 50%.

Reg Compliance: Liaised with legal counsel from insurance underwriters to ensure compliance of all marketing and PR.

Provided audit and advisory services for European, Canadian, and Chinese market activities (USD$ 1 billion+ annual gross written premium production in said territories).   Acquired and developed a strong understanding and practice of internal control systems and governance.

Engagement lead and project manager for multiple financial and operational audit and advisory projects covering international operations in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Denmark.  Also provided advisory support for engagements covering the Puerto Rican business unit - all of which required extensive onsite engagement and interaction.

Experience in credit insurance and property/warranty related product lines.  In depth review of significant contractual agreements for major clients within the international division.  

Provided SOX control compliance advisory services to IT stakeholders within the Assurant Specialty Property division covering operations in Scottsdale, AZ and Orange County, CA.

Identified and pitched investors, product distributors, and channel partners across Middle Eastern markets (United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan).  Organized “Investor Day” fundraising events.  Directly responsible for raising over $350k in seed funding.
