Raisa Luna is an experienced Environmental Health Specialist III and Training Coordinator at the County of San Diego Hazardous Materials Division. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences and a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from San Diego State University. Raisa is a certified Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) and holds ICC Underground Storage Tank (UST) inspector and Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act (APSA) inspector certifications. With over 600 field inspections at regulated businesses, Raisa ensures compliance with environmental laws and regulations to safeguard public health and the environment. Her expertise spans hazardous materials, hazardous wastes, medical waste, and aboveground and underground tanks. In addition to her enforcement role, Raisa actively engages in community outreach and education initiatives to enhance public health safety in San Diego. She is also a dedicated member of the California Hazardous Materials Investigators Association (CHMIA).
