Responsible for activating all of the assets of the company for social good and launching the Diversity and Belonging initiative.

PHILANTHROPY AND VOLUNTEERISM
- Created the Open Homes initiative, connecting people from vulnerable communities with Airbnb hosts to provide mission-critical short-term housing.  Global partners included Make A Wish Foundation, Summer Search, Acumen Fund, SFMOMA and Service Year Alliance
- Founded the Global Citizenship Champions network to manage employee and host volunteerism across 20 major offices of the company worldwide
- Launched first Airbnb Global Volunteerism Week, activating employees, hosts and guests globally
- Created AirGives, an online platform for employees, hosts, travelers and community members to request resources from the company
- Beta-tested a “donation tool” in Portland, OR, benefiting Central City Concern
- Integrated social good into major milestones and processes of the company

DIVERSITY AND BELONGING
- Launched company's Belonging (DEI) efforts and served as hiring manager for Airbnb's first Diversity Director
- Led process to include, create and provide hidden bias training for employees at all-company gathering and hosts at annual conference
- Created and supported employee resource group platform
- Represented the company at numerous White House working group gatherings on diversity in the tech sector, including hosting one at Airbnb and participating at one at the White House hosted by President Obama

Head of Global Citizenship

- Manage the Bay Area office of the country’s largest philanthropic advising service with responsibilities for grantmaking, client servicing, new business development, strategic planning and donor education.
- Provide strategic counsel and grantmaking planning, implementation and evaluation for individuals, donor advised funds and private foundations with philanthropic assets ranging from $10 to $400 million.  Client funding focus areas, domestically and internationally, include climate change and environmental protection, education, women’s issues, social equity and microfinance.
- Represent RPA and clients at numerous venues as speaker, moderator and facilitator.
- Direct numerous corporate client philanthropic initiatives, including revamping a leadership volunteerism program for Levi Strauss and Co., providing strategic counsel for a major enterprise solutions company and extractives company and advising on the creation of a corporate foundation for Adobe Systems.

- Started consulting division for this $10 million global non-profit organization that is a resource for companies interested in implementing more socially responsible policies and practices, in areas including the environment, human rights, community involvement, workplace issues, governance, accountability, and more.
- Served as key liaison between clients and BSR consulting team on business development (proposal and project generation), quality assurance, pricing, project management, and team oversight responsibilities.
- Provided direct consulting services across the broad range of CSR issues to Fortune 500 business members including adidas-Salomon, Agilent Technologies, Chevron, Chiquita Brands International, Ford Motor Company, Nike, Novartis, Phillips Van-Heusen, Shell International, Texaco, Timberland, and others.
- Designed, organized and facilitated dialogues between companies and nonprofit organizations to identify and address key social responsibility issues.
