Rachel holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Luther College.

Throughout her career, Rachel has been involved with various organizations, including serving as an Assistant Director at AspireMN, a Research Consultant at Potintia, Inc., the Director of Programs at Norway House MN, a Program Manager at Nobel Peace Prize Forum, the Regional Director at Save the Children - Norway with Save the Children International, and working at The Electric Fetus.

She has also delivered a TEDx talk on children's rights, focusing on the United Nation's Convention on the Rights of the Child and the importance of youth voice.
