Rachel Lai is a dedicated individual with a strong passion for alleviating rural poverty in the Mekong region, particularly in Laos.

With a background in Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore, Rachel has embarked on a journey to foster collaborations for impactful projects.

At ENGROWERS RURAL, Rachel focuses on creating new partnerships that connect local key partners in Laos with technology providers, infrastructure developers, and capital markets in the region.

Her work extends to collaborating with like-minded professionals to positively impact society and address income inequality and disparities between developed and emerging countries.

In the Mekong region, Rachel's network expands to Vietnam and Myanmar, particularly in the Agriculture and Renewable Energy sectors.

She actively engages with state-linked power generation corporations, private power producers, and independent power producers to drive projects like the 4MW Solarpower project in Vietnam, which is part of a larger plan to reach 40 and 50 Megawatts.

Rachel also spearheads a social venture that partners with a global agri producer and distributor to integrate markets and enhance productivity for smallholder farmers, paving the way for impact investments.

Moreover, Rachel collaborates with Singapore National University student volunteers to implement Online Interactive real-time Digital learning models in rural areas, striving to bridge educational gaps.

Through her various endeavors, Rachel invites individuals and businesses to join forces in creating social impact and driving positive change in the community.
