Rachel Garnham, VP of Marketing at Skyla Federal Credit Union

Rachel Garnham is the Vice President of Marketing at Skyla Federal Credit Union, a credit union formed in 2021 from the merger of Charlotte Metro Credit Union and Premier Federal Credit Union. She has held this position since 2017.15

Prior to becoming VP of Marketing, Garnham served as the Director of Marketing at Skyla (then Charlotte Metro Credit Union) from 2014 to 2016.5 She has over 10 years of experience in marketing roles, previously working as a Marketing Manager at Verinext from 2010 to 2014.5

Garnham obtained her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business.34 She is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and has over 500 connections on LinkedIn.3

As VP of Marketing, Garnham led the rebranding effort when Charlotte Metro Credit Union and Premier FCU merged to form Skyla Credit Union in 2021. She worked with Tungsten Branding, a naming and branding agency, to develop Skyla's brand identity, tagline, and marketing materials.1

Garnham has also spearheaded marketing campaigns for Skyla, such as the "Ban the #BankShame" campaign aimed at attracting millennials and customers frustrated with their current banks.2 The campaign featured TV ads, billboards, and digital ads highlighting the benefits of credit unions over traditional banks.
