Rachel Basoco is a successful Head of Community with a diverse background of experience in leading teams in both established corporate and early-stage start-up settings, currently working at Lightricks. She was part of the initial executive team at Luminary since its opening in 2018, where she expanded her team and played an integral part in the design and success of Luminary's acquisition and marketing, retention, and engagement of thousands of Members (and 40+ corporate members Representing more than 500,000 employees worldwide including UBS, WW, JPMorgan Chase, Unilever, Blackstone, Verizon, Goldman Sachs, and Mastercard), community operations, and brand promise. Rachel's unique skillset and love for the intersection of people, data, and creativity make her a leader in "wearing multiple hats" and always raising her hand to tackle an obstacle.

Rachel is committed to empowering women and marginalized communities worldwide, and believes that in order to foster authentic community, you must create vulnerable, brave and status-quo challenging spaces. Before Luminary, Rachel was the CEO and Founder of Trenza, a lifestyle brand made by, and for Latinas. Through content, commerce, and community events, Trenza aimed to reimagine the spaces Latinas take up by connecting, engaging, and creating what's next for the Latinx community. Trenza's first launch event (March 2016) hosted Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Actress Indya Moore, and Vivian Nunez. They also partnered with brands like Spotify, Bumble, Bulletin, WeWork, The Wing, Ramona Wines, and more. 10% of every purchase benefitted a Latinx serving non-profit.

Rachel started her career in the fashion industry in various roles. For example, she was the Digital Strategy Merchant and Manager at Macy's managing $184M in sales for women's ready-to-wear and accessory brands. Prior to that, she spent time in fashion buying at the size-inclusive rental start-up, Gwynnie Bee. Her career started in the Executive Development Program in Retail Management at Bloomingdale's where she managed the sales of contemporary women's brands at the flagship store in NYC. Rachel Basoco studied at The George Washington University, graduating a year early with a major in Organizational Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Her final 1st place award-winning research focused on analyzing consumer purchasing decisions. She is a native Texan and currently calls NYC home.
