Prof. Dr. Dr. Birger Kollmeier is a renowned scientist and academician in the field of Auditory Science. He has earned two doctorate degrees, one in Physics and one in Medicine from the University of Oldenburg in Germany. He is a professor and chairperson of the Medical Physics and Acoustics Department at the same university. His research work mainly focuses on auditory perception, modeling, signal processing, and the use of hearing aids. He has been funded by many organizations such as the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, which is the German Research Foundation, and the European Union.
Prof. Dr. Dr. Birger Kollmeier's accomplishments include the founding of the International Symposium on Auditory and Audiological Research (ISAAR).
