Priya Desai

Priya Desai is an accomplished professional with a strong background in public health, health policy, and management.

Priya Desai holds a Master's in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Health Policy & Management from the Boston University School of Public Health.

She also completed a Postbac program at the University of Rhode Island and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Smith College.

With a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector, Priya Desai currently serves as the Vice President of Research & Innovation at Smile Train, a renowned organization focused on providing cleft surgeries to children in need.

Prior to her current role, Priya held several key positions at Smile Train, including Senior Director of Medical Programs, Director of Strategy & Evaluation, Director of Medical Programs, and Medical Programs Manager.

Her commitment to public health is further evident through her past roles, such as the Prevention Outreach Manager at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Primary Care Information Project, and a Project Manager at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH).

Priya Desai's early career also includes valuable experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator II at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Center for Surgery and Public Health.
