Pierre Courtemanche

Pierre Courtemanche is a devoted advocate for sustainable development with over three decades of experience working with smallholders in developing and emerging countries. Initially starting as an OXFAM volunteer, he later founded GeoTraceability Ltd. in 2011, a company focused on mapping smallholders through data collection and product traceability. In 2018, GeoTraceability Ltd. merged with OPTEL GROUP, becoming the foremost provider of traceability solutions globally. Acknowledged as the pioneer of geotraceability technology, Pierre is dedicated to leveraging innovation to promote ethical sourcing of raw materials and enhance the well-being of smallholders worldwide. Pierre's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Forest Engineering from Université Laval.
