Phillip Scotton is a business leader and social entrepreneur with a focus on franchising and mental health awareness.123 He serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of PRIMO Partners, the largest and only Black-owned/Black-led multi-unit franchise developer of Ben & Jerry's.1 Scotton joined PRIMO Partners full-time in 2016 and has helped drive significant growth in their off-premise sales category.1
In addition to his business role, Scotton is the Founding Chair of Eustress Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about mental health, particularly among students, young adults, and athletes in underserved communities.23 The organization aims to start conversations about mental health, help individuals identify and overcome challenges, and provide coping mechanisms for better mental health management.3
Scotton's educational background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Sociology and African American Studies with a minor in Social Economic Justice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill2
