    Peter Westoby is a seasoned professional in the field of community and social development, with a profound journey influenced by rivers of dialogue, soul, and phenomenology.

    With a wealth of experience, Peter has authored or contributed to numerous publications, including 14 books and over 50 journal articles, focusing on community development.

    Currently, Peter is working on his 15th book, 'Understanding Phenomenological Reflective Practice in the Social and Ecological Fields: Three Rivers Flowing,' which is set to be published by Routledge.

    Apart from his professional endeavors, Peter enjoys reading, nature walks, stargazing by a fire, spending time in Mary Cairncross Park, socializing, savoring coffee at dawn, and retiring early as a morning person.

    In his current roles, Peter serves as the Director/consultant at Community Praxis Co-op and as a P/T practitioner at Hummingbird House. Additionally, he is the Custodian of Camellia Centre for Reflective Practice, an Associate of The Proteus Initiative, RSA, and a Visiting Professor at the University of the Free State, South Africa.

    Peter's academic background includes a PhD in Philosophy with a focus on political science, peace, and conflict studies, as well as a Masters in social administration and social policy, both from The University of Queensland.

    Throughout his career, Peter has held key positions such as Community Development Specialist at Hummingbird House Brisbane, Director/consultant at Community Praxis Co-op, Associate Professor of Social Science and Community Development at QUT (Queensland University of Technology), and Senior Lecturer in community development at The University of Queensland.
