Peter Wallach

Peter Wallach is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Synapticure, a teleneurology company focused on providing personalized care for people living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and other neurodegenerative diseases.12
Peter entered the healthcare space after his brother Brian Wallach's ALS diagnosis in 2017.13 Initially, Peter focused on investing in targeted therapeutics that had the potential to be disease-altering for ALS. With Synapticure, he aims to address several issues in ALS care, including:
- Lack of early intervention
- Limited access to quality care
- Insufficient holistic patient data
- Unclear subgrouping of people living with ALS3
Prior to his work in healthcare, Peter's career included:
- Working in the cleantech industry
- Consulting at Bain & Company in their Chicago office
- Managing early-stage investing in therapeutics for ALS and related neurodegenerative diseases at the IND-enabling stage34
Peter's educational background includes:
- MBA from Columbia University
- Undergraduate degree in financial mathematics from the University of Virginia34
Peter co-founded Synapticure alongside his brother Brian Wallach, Sandra Abrevaya, Jason Langheier, and Jonathan Hirsch.2 The company launched in February 2022 with $6 million in funding led by GV (formerly Google Ventures) and other investors.2
As CFO of Synapticure, Peter is part of a team working to transform the standard of care for people living with ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases through a full-stack teleneurology platform.25
