Peter Schoonmaker

Peter Schoonmaker is a distinguished academic and entrepreneurial professional in the field of environmental science and policy. With a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Colorado College and a Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his endeavors. He is the founding president of Illahee, a design strategy, and research firm. Before founding Illahee, Peter held several academic positions, including Associate Professor at Pacific Northwest College of Art, Founding Chair of the MFA Collaborative Design/MA Design Systems at Pacific Northwest College of Art, and Adjunct Professor at Portland State University and Linfield College.

Apart from his academic career, Peter has also held several senior roles in non-profit organizations. He served as Vice President and Science Director at Ecotrust/Interrain Pacific. He has combined his entrepreneurial, academic, and environmental experience to create a unique skill set that he uses to solve complex environmental issues.
