Peter Nielsen

Peter Nielsen is a law student at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), currently enrolled in the J.D. program, expected to graduate in 2026. He has gained practical legal experience as a Legal Extern at the Supreme Court of California since May 2024.

Before attending law school, Nielsen held various positions that contributed to his legal and analytical skills. He worked as a Legislative Policy Analyst at Venable LLP from July 2019 to July 2021, where he engaged with Congressional staff on tax and pension issues and developed expertise in federal tax policy. Additionally, he served as a US Real Estate Tax Co-op at EY in Munich, providing tax advice and conducting research on real estate tax matters.

Nielsen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and a minor in Political Science from Northeastern University, where he was also recognized on the Dean's List. His diverse experiences reflect a strong foundation in both legal and financial sectors, preparing him for a career in law.1
