Peter Lenz

Peter Lenz is a Geographer and Data Scientist based in New York City, known for his work in spatial data science and geoinformatics. He is the Founder of Connected Things, a company he established in January 2023. Connected Things focuses on creating a deterministic digital twin of the Earth, integrating various strands of research including spatial data science, environmental and urban planning, and artificial intelligence. The company's goal is to analyze real-world events and predict future occurrences by simulating interactions between people and objects in a digital environment.1

In addition to his role at Connected Things, Lenz also operates Peter E Lenz & Company, where he helps organizations leverage spatial data to enhance their analytical capabilities. Before founding these ventures, he served as the Vice President of Data Science at Near, leading efforts to develop spatial data science products that address complex data challenges across various sectors.1
