Pedro A. Rivera, JD, LLM, FACHE, LNHA, SPHR
Pedro A. Rivera is an accomplished lawyer, leader, and community advocate with a diverse background in labor relations, tenant protection, and healthcare management. Currently, he serves as the Regional Director of Labor Relations for Bellevue Hospital Center, the flagship public hospital in New York City with a workforce of over 5,500 employees. In this role, he oversees all grievance and disciplinary matters for over 20 unions. Prior to his appointment at Bellevue, Pedro served as the Deputy Legal Director of the NYS Tenant Protection Unit and built a community-based legal practice defending tenants marginalized by their landlords. He is also a certified Human Resources professional (SPHR) and a Board Certified Healthcare Executive (FACHE).
Pedro has received numerous accolades for his leadership and community achievements. In 2013, he was named a '40 under 40 Rising Star' by The Hispanic Coalition NY, and he has been recognized as an emerging leader by the United Way of NYC. He is a graduate of the Non-Profit Leadership Development Program, holds a J.D. from CUNY Law School, and a Masters in Law (LL.M) in Trial Advocacy from Temple University School of Law, where he graduated with Honors. He is a Fellow of The New York Academy of Medicine.
