Paul Wierzba is a Director in PwC’s Deals practice in Los Angeles, California with expertise in advising clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues related to deals such as mergers & acquisitions, deal structures, capital market transactions, and capital raising. With a career that began in the PwC Deals practice in the Chicago office, Paul later moved to the Los Angeles office in 2014 to contribute to building and expanding the practice. His specialization includes providing support on accounting and financial reporting matters concerning the SEC registration process, Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), 144a debt and equity offerings, divestitures/carve-outs, and business combinations. Paul possesses in-depth knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting, spanning topics like accounting for business combinations, segment reporting/reporting units, SEC registration processes, pro forma financial statements, and private equity exit strategies. Having worked across diverse industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, entertainment, gaming, and technology, Paul brings a wealth of experience and insight to his role. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accounting Science degrees from the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Furthermore, Paul is a Certified Public Accountant in California and Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
