Paul Pester

Paul Pester is an accomplished executive with a track record of leading disruptive and established consumer financial services businesses in the UK and overseas.

He has served in various leadership roles such as Group Chief Executive Officer at Virgin Money, Managing Director of Consumer Banking & Payments at Lloyds Banking Group, and CEO of TSB Banking Group where he oversaw a successful IPO and subsequent sale.

Paul holds a D. Phil in Physics/Mathematics from the University of Oxford and a Bsc (Hons) in Physics from The University of Manchester.

He is currently involved in roles as Chair, Non-Executive Director, Board Adviser, and investor in disruptive financial services businesses and advocates for consumers' interests.

Paul chairs Fairer Finance's Consumer Advisory Board and has previously advised the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer and HM Treasury on competition issues in banking.

His past affiliations include positions at various organizations like Cardeo, Oplo, Centerbridge Partners, L.P., KKR & Co. Inc., and HM Treasury, among others.
