Paul Johnson is a renowned economist with extensive experience in public policy, specializing in microeconomics and various key areas including tax, pensions, climate change, education, labor markets, inequality, welfare, and public finances. He commenced his career at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) and has held significant roles at reputable institutions such as the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Department for Education, and HM Treasury. At Frontier Economics, he contributed to the public policy practice, focusing on environmental, educational, and labor market issues. Paul Johnson later returned to the IFS as director in January 2011.
