Sune Jepsen

Sune Chung Jepsen is a dedicated PhD student at the SDU Software Engineering section, focusing on software architectures for production systems in the context of Industry 4.0.

His doctoral project delves into architecture evaluation, functional and non-functional requirements for infrastructure platforms supporting smart manufacturing systems, and the implementation and assessment of middleware for these systems.

Sune's research primarily concentrates on software architecture and non-functional requirements to enable the seamless integration of smart production in both the I4.0 Laboratory and industrial settings.

His educational background is extensive, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things, a Master's degree in Software Engineering, a Master of IT in Software Development, a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, and Computer Science, and an Academy Profession (AP) Degree in Computer Science.

In terms of professional experience, Sune has worked as a PHD Fellow and Instructor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark. He has also been the Owner of Softwareengineering.dk and held roles such as Lead Developer, Solution Architect, System Consultant, and System Developer at various organizations like biltorvet a/s, Twins, Ecreo, and Bankdata.
