Paul Isserles
Camp Director
Paul Isserles is the Director of URJ Eisner Camp, a position he assumed in October 2021.1 He brings over 20 years of experience directing day camps to this role, including previous positions at Camp Jacobson and Buckley Day Camp.1
Eisner Camp holds a special place in Paul's life. He worked there from 1993 to 1997 as a counselor, songleader, and unit head.1 It was at Eisner where he met his wife, Shari, in 1994.1
Paul's background is deeply rooted in the Reform Movement. He spent his childhood and teenage years actively involved in youth groups and served on the board of LIFTY (Long Island Federation of Temple Youth).1 His educational background includes:
