Patxi Valverde

Patxi Valverde, born in Madrid in 1975, is a prominent Spanish tenor saxophonist making waves in the European jazz scene.

With a background in classical saxophone and jazz education, Patxi honed his skills at prestigious institutions like Prins Claus Conservatorium and ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in the Netherlands.

During his time in Holland, he founded the renowned Patxi Valverde Quartet, toured extensively in Europe, and collaborated with notable musicians like Tarek Yamani and David Berkman.

Known for his exquisite sound and technique, Patxi's debut album 'Looking Forward' received acclaim, showcasing his prowess as a tenor soloist.

Patxi's accolades include winning the Dutch Big Band Contest and performing alongside jazz legend Benny Golson at Swinging Groningen Jazz Festival.
