Patrick McLeod serves as a Harvard Chaplain for Cru, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to his role. With roots in Wyoming and Montana, Patrick's early career in teaching science and coaching paved the way for his true calling in ministering to the spiritual needs of students.
Since joining Cru in 1984, Patrick has been instrumental in launching and leading campus ministries across the globe. His unique blend of teaching, coaching, team-building, and mentoring has made a significant impact on students' moral, spiritual, and religious lives. Noteworthy contributions include creating an award-winning philosophy course in Science and Religion at Montana State University and co-founding the Mamelodi Initiative at Harvard.
With three advanced degrees - a Masters in Theological Studies, a Masters in Science and Religion, and a Ph.D. in Practical Theology - Patrick is well-equipped to address the complex needs of a diverse student body. His collaborative work with his wife Tammy, including co-authoring the book Hit Hard: One Family's Journey of Letting Go of What Was--and Learning to Live Well with What Is, showcases their commitment to sharing valuable life lessons.
Patrick McLeod's academic background includes a PhD in Practical Theology from Boston University, an MATS in Theology from the International School of Theology, an STM in Science and Religion from Boston University, and a BS in Natural Science from Montana State University-Bozeman. His dedication and impact extend beyond academia, as seen in his roles as the Harvard Chaplain/Boston Metro Director at Cru and as a former Campus Director at Cru.
