Patrick Brennan

Patrick Brennan is the Vice President of Government Relations at Learning Ally, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting struggling readers. In his role, he collaborates with legislatures, departments of education, and governors to promote legislative initiatives that enhance literacy instruction and provide tools for educators. Notably, he secured $3.5 million in funding from the California Governor’s office to develop a dyslexia screening and early intervention program at the UCSF Dyslexia Center.12
Before joining Learning Ally in June 2020, Brennan worked in the U.S. Senate for Senator Kay Hagan of North Carolina and Congressman John Spratt of South Carolina, where he was instrumental in advancing several bills that were signed into law by President Obama.13 He holds a BA in political science from Wake Forest University and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School.12
