Pailin's background includes serving as the lead Asia Interactive Producer for the Associated Press, where she oversaw the production of online visual content across Asia, covering significant events like the 2011 Japan earthquake, North Korea's Kim Jong Un, U.S. primary elections, Thailand floods, and Bangladesh's garment industry crises.

She has been recognized with accolades such as two golds at the Asia Digital Media Awards for her work in Asia, and her contributions to team projects have led to achievements like a Malofiej bronze and two Associated Press Managing Editors Association prizes.
