Associate Professor at Western Michigan University
Pablo Gomez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Western Michigan University and the Director of the Power Equipment Simulation and Design Laboratory.
His current research areas include modeling and simulation of power equipment, transient analysis of electrical components and networks, high voltage, lightning and insulation systems, electromagnetic design optimization of power components, grid integration of renewable energy resources, fault location in transmission and distribution systems, and dynamic microgrid modeling.
Pablo Gomez holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila.
His professional experience includes being a former Postdoctoral Researcher at Polytechnic Institute of New York University, a former Full-time Professor at IPN, and a former Production Supervisor at Trinity Industries, Inc.
