Ning So

Ning So is a prominent figure in the communications industry, playing a key role in the SDN and NFV revolution since 2008. His contributions encompass various facets such as concept formulation, use case definition, framework establishment, requirement refinement, business case proposal, and technology development. He has been a crucial member of the NFV & SDN World Congress Advisory Panel. Ning has also been instrumental in the Cloud revolution within the communication industry, co-authoring multiple IETF drafts and conference publications that have shaped the current Cloud architecture.

With a rich portfolio, Ning is the owner of over 30 patents and patent applications. He is actively engaged in sharing his expertise as a frequent speaker, technical committee member, and occasional organizer at numerous Industry and Academic conferences. Furthermore, Ning serves as a member of the Industry Advisory Council at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science, University of Texas at Dallas.

In terms of education, Ning So pursued a Master's in Telecommunications Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University, followed by a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas. He completed his Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and Management, also at Oklahoma State University.

Ning has held key positions in various organizations, including his current role as the Head of Advanced Technical Services at Reliance Jio. Previously, he founded Vinci Systems Inc., served as the Head of Network Architecture at Tata Communications, worked as an Advisory Engineer at Verizon Inc, and started his career as a Network Engineer at WorldCom.
