Nick Wu

Shao-Hua (Nick) Wu is an experienced electrical engineer and researcher, with a PhD and MS from the University of Southern California. Nick has broad expertise in a wide range of applications, from theoretical study to micro-fabrication and advanced optical device prototyping. He is the founder and CEO of n3xt con, a nonprofit dedicated to exploring technology and entertainment, and an active angel investor seeking innovative ideas and startups. Nick has extensive experience in advanced optical design and implementation, exploration and application of emerging technologies, software development, and leading complex operations initiatives.

Additionally, Nick has eight years of research experience in nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, and experimental optics, as well as five years of experience in cross-functional team environments, conducting technical due diligence for deep-tech startups, and nano/micro-fabrication and cleanroom equipment operations. He has also served in various advisory roles, including as an electrical subject-matter expert at Rivian, advisor at Giftpack Inc., and advisor and investment member at STEEP!.

Through his experiences, Nick has become a skilled problem-solver and a capable leader capable of leading teams in multiple areas of expertise to push project implementation. Nick's entrepreneurial spirit and expertise make him an asset to any team or project he is a part of.
