Nicholas Negrete, Ed.D., is the Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity & Inclusion at Otis College of Art and Design. Negrete has an extensive background in education and student affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Chicanx Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as a Master’s and Doctorate in Education from the University of Vermont. Prior to his current role, he served as the Dean of Student Affairs at Otis College, where he was recognized for his commitment to multicultural affairs and advocacy.14
In his current position, Negrete collaborates closely with the college's leadership, including the President and Provost, to enhance the institution's strategic goals related to DEI. His work is informed by his previous experiences and the feedback gathered from community forums, which highlighted the importance of authentic engagement and collaboration in DEI efforts.125
