Nelson Mitchell

Nelson Mitchell is the Co-Founder and Head of Product at Swing Therapeutics, Inc., a digital therapeutics company based in San Francisco, California. He plays a pivotal role in leading the product and design teams at the company, which focuses on developing digital treatments for chronic pain conditions, particularly fibromyalgia. Under his leadership, Swing Therapeutics has created Stanza, the first FDA-approved digital therapeutic for fibromyalgia management, which utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help patients manage their symptoms.123

Before co-founding Swing Therapeutics in 2019, Nelson founded and led the design consulting practice at Slalom San Francisco. His extensive background includes developing digital products and strategies across various industries such as energy, architecture, biotech, and financial services. He holds a master's degree in product design from San Francisco State University and undergraduate degrees in finance and economics from Michigan State University, along with additional studies at the University of Oxford.12
