Neil Houston, a Birmingham-based data and analytics specialist with an extensive background in forensic accounting, has been appointed Director of Investigative Analytics, Digital & Forensic Investigations at PwC. With an emphasis on exploratory analytics, Neil has helped various clients in a wide range of sectors to understand past events and implement proactive measures for the future. Neil supports attorneys and investigators in forensic investigations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption audits, and corporate disputes. His expertise includes structured data review and disclosure, transactional data analysis, SQL, Oracle Server tuning and settings, and analysis in support of FCPA & UK Bribery Act / Corruption investigations.

Neil is highly skilled when it comes to analyses in support of FCPA & UK Bribery Act / Corruption Investigations, as well as EU/US Sanctions Investigations. Neil is an expert in financial systems analysis, including SAP and Oracle Financials. He has advanced knowledge of MS and Oracle SQL, as well as the ability to combine accounting knowledge with technical insight. Neil is an expert in problem-solving, process, and solution design. Neil's other strengths include data visualization and discovery (Tableau), dealing with large scale data sets (>500 million rows), and understanding of bespoke systems.

Neil Houston graduated from Staffordshire University with a degree in Forensic Science. Apart from work, Neil spends his leisure time gardening and taming his allotment.
