Neal Kaufman, MD, MPH, is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Canary Health, a company dedicated to developing technology solutions for health promotion and disease prevention. With over 27 years of experience in academic medicine and public health, Dr. Kaufman has a strong background in behavior change interventions that support patient self-management and health maintenance.
He earned his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Additionally, he holds a Master of Public Health from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Northwestern University. Throughout his career, he has held significant positions, including Head of Community Pediatrics at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center and Director of Academic Primary Care Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has also served as a Commissioner at First 5 LA.
