Nathan Cox is the founder and Chairman of 68 Ventures, a prominent development and investment company based in Daphne, Alabama. Early Life and Education
Cox graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama, where he earned a degree in investment finance and economics. He also completed an MBA at the University of South Alabama. While at Alabama, he played football and received several accolades, including the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award for outstanding student-athlete.
Military Service
Before entering the business world, Cox served as a Rifle Platoon Commander with the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines. During his deployment in Iraq, he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with combat “V” for Valor due to his exemplary actions in combat.
Career Highlights
Cox founded Bellator Real Estate & Development in 2008, which became the largest brokerage firm on the Alabama Gulf Coast. In 2011, he started Truland Homes, which grew to be a significant player in residential construction before being acquired by D.R. Horton in 2023. Under his leadership, 68 Ventures has developed over 10,000 single-family lots and constructed more than 3,400 homes.
