ICICI Bank is India's second-largest bank offering a wide range of banking products and financial services to corporate and retail customers through a variety of delivery channels and through its specialised subsidiaries in the areas of investment banking, life and non-life insurance, venture capital and asset management.

Even though the role assigned was Senior Technical Officer, I worked on various other functions as well. I was in charge of prevention of frauds; monitoring the Market intelligence with reference to property price movement; Business Co-ordination with peers within the organization and monitoring daily operations ensuring quality of appraisals was maintained. Working with a team, I had to audit their performance periodically. Towards the end of my career with ICICI Bank, I was offered the position of Branch Credit Manager which is reserved for the professionally qualified Chartered Accountants only. 

Achievements:
- Recruited, trained and managed a team of 30 engineers and back-office staff to carry out in-house valuation of properties across Tamil Nadu
- Prevented fraudulent cases worth Rs. 6.2 Crores over a period of 8 Months
- Savings of 73% to the company on in house technical evaluations of properties over the previous year
- Improved the average Turnaround Time (TAT) for carrying out in house technical valuations of properties from 3 days to 20 hours
- Boosted the number of Technical Appraisals carried out by the In House Team from 650 in the month of January 2006 to 2100 in the month of March 2006
- Reduced the error percentage of the value of technical appraisals from 14% in the month of September 2005 to 3.5% in the month of March 2006

I took on this opportunity while pursuing my Undergraduate- Civil Engineering course and learnt about various aspects of Recruitment during the 3years at this organisation. Not only recruitment, but it gave me the platform to interact with people from various industries and across levels. This position was the launch pad for me to learn about how organisations operated and how one grows within the same.
