As Senior Project Manager of Change Management at Concert Communications Services (joint telecommunications venture between British Telecom (BT) and AT&T):

•  Pioneered a virtual training class for HP Openview Service Desk using HP Virtual Classroom software, for the training of end users in the USA and Europe.  Saved time and expenses of global travel for instructors.

•  Coordinated project change controls, led Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, used ITIL Service Desk Change management principles, which effected systems and customers worldwide, with hardware and applications in Europe, Australia, and US. 

•  Developed and maintained multiple project plans and program plan, managed and tracked work deliverables, and other day-to-day project activities.  

•  Customized the configuration management and maintenance change management tool for the client.

•  Managed the day-to-day project activities for two Application Maintenance Outsourcing (AMO) customer service projects.

•  Managed and led several widely diverse groups (most were on their first USA project) in a matrix environment.  

•  Gathered project requirements, and developed project definitions, project approach plans, statement of work (SOW), test design reports, project plans, program plan, project change control, and other Year 2000 test related documentation for the Decision Support System (DSS) section, including the Data Warehouse, and three business sections.

•  Extensively used MS Project, MS Office Professional, Visio, Documentum, and PMBOK / PMI principles.

As Project Manager of Year 2000 Remediation/Testing Project for Kirke-Van Orsdel, Inc. (KVI - Insurance Brokerage / Insurance Processor / Program Administrator):

•  Completed 2000 Remediation/Testing Project ahead of schedule and $77K under allotted budget, by forecasting and managing expenses, identifying, analyzing, and managing risks, issues, and changes to the project scope, and using RAD methods. 

•  Completed on time and $31K under allotted budget an additional phase, due to approved change controls.

•  Developed meeting agendas and facilitated various meetings: including kick-off, weekly team, project status review, project change control and issues resolution, and lessons learned. Completed all other day to day project management activities

•  Ensured the teams' work efforts were completed in a timely, high quality and economical manner by undertaking quality assurance for conforming to Y2K standards, developing the project plan, monitoring and adjusting the project plan, tracking and reporting on project progress, and identifying and assigning activities to the team leaders.

•  Taught project management methodology (PMM) / mentored project manager interns.

•  Conformed to the CTG Project Management and Year 2000 Remediation/Testing Methodologies. Project was tracked using MS Project and custom reports developed in MS Office Professional Edition. HP3000 environment.

As Project Manager / Quality Assurance/Database Analyst of one of the  Year 2000 remediation/testing project teams at Venture Stores (Retail - Discount Store Chain):

•  Created and presented "Y2K Data Management System" at 1998 Millennium Services Conference, Phoenix, AZ. 

•  Developed solution to save time and expenses by creating system to automate the production of Y2K unit and system test scripts and other needed forms.  This system was later adopted by all of the Year 2000 remediation/testing project teams at Venture. The Y2K Data System was developed in MS Access, MS Word, and MS Excel.

•  Trained and managed system testers and programmers. Controlled data check out/in, insured quality results of test results and documentation

•  Project was halted when Venture Stores (a part of The May Department Stores Company) declared bankruptcy and closed.

As Project Manager / System Test Leader on the Year 2000 remediation pilot project team at Venture: managed system testers, created Y2K system test scripts, updated and maintained Y2K forms and documents, and insured quality results.

•  Developed an order tracking system with process of automatically switching the system from one language to another. This trilingual system (English, Spanish and Portuguese) was developed using MS Access.  

•  System was selected for a national level award at Monsanto.

As Lead Developer in the Marketing section of the Crop Protection division of Monsanto:

•  Designed and wrote most of the PC level of a marketing / business partner agreement system. The remote system was developed using MS Access, MS Excel,  Reflections, and XcelleNet.  

•  System was selected for both national and international level awards at Monsanto.

As Programmer/Analyst at the Finance section of the Crop Protection division: 

•  Developed part of a budget-forecast system.  The client server system was developed using MS Access, MS Excel and Reflections.  

• Later upgraded the system.  Also, developed several enhancements including using XcelleNet for remote communication to an NT server.

As Programmer/Analyst at the Finance section of the Crop Protection division Monsanto: 

• Performed maintenance and developed enhancements to a budget, commitment and expenses tracking system. Upgraded this client server PowerBuilder system.

As Programmer/Analyst at the Fibers division of Monsanto: 

•  Developed front-end screens/menus and spreadsheet conversion applications for an activity based costing system.  The client server system was developed using MS Access, with ODBC driver connections to ORACLE.  

•  Wrote user manual and technical documentation.

•  Rewrote and enhanced a medical records tracking system.  The client server system used MS Access.
