Dr. Mumit Khan is a distinguished professional with a diverse background in academia, technology, and leadership roles across various esteemed organizations.
Dr. Khan holds a PhD in Software Engineering, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) at St. Joseph High School, Dhaka.
With a strong educational foundation, Dr. Khan has held key positions such as Director of Enterprise Technology at BC Transit, Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Office of the Chief Information Officer in the Government of British Columbia, and Technology Program Manager at Abebooks, an Amazon.com company.
His versatile career includes roles as a Senior Advisor at Amadeyr Cloud Limited, a Professor and Chairperson of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, and Chairperson of the IT Committee (CTO) at BRAC University.
Dr. Khan's contributions to academia extend to positions such as Director of the Center for Research on Bangla Language Processing at BRAC University, where he also served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering.
His research endeavors have led him to roles like Lead of Modeling and Simulation at the Center for Nanotechnology and Research Engineer at the Center for X-ray Lithography, both at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
