Dr. James Choi is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in academia and research. He has held prominent positions such as Chair of the Computer Science Department, Program Coordinator for the Masters of Science in Software Engineering Program, and various professorial roles at California State University, Fullerton. Prior to his time at CSUF, Dr. Choi was engaged in research at the University of Southern California as both a Research Associate and Research Assistant in the Computer Science Department.

His expertise in the field of computer science and software engineering is underscored by the numerous research grants he has secured from prestigious organizations such as Lockheed Martin, SH Corp, Northrop Corporation, and AT&T Laboratories. These grants have allowed him to delve into areas ranging from software reuse and reverse engineering to very large software engineering systems and process engineering.

Dr. Choi's educational background is equally impressive, with advanced degrees including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science - Software Engineering from the University of Southern California. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nuclear/Particle Physics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany, where he also completed his junior and high school education at Schule Schloss Salem.
