Moiyattu Banya-Keister is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience working in Africa and the Diaspora, focusing on Entrepreneurship, Education, Gender, and Youth Development.

She holds an Msc in Social Entrepreneurship from Columbia University, New York, and possesses a diverse skill set including research, strategic planning, program design, communications, brand strategy, implementation, evaluation, and facilitating trainings.

Moiyattu has worked with various organizations such as The Women Peace and Security Network - Africa (WIPSEN-Africa) in Ghana, conducting research and implementing projects on Transformative Leadership for young girls in Ghana and Liberia.

In 2012, she founded Girls Empowerment Sierra Leone (GESL) where she has organized leadership programs benefitting over 200 young girls, empowering them to be agents of social change in their communities.

She is also the Founder of Women Change Africa, a platform that showcases the stories of young African women leaders and innovators. Moiyattu is a prolific writer and has contributed to platforms like For.Harriet, Afroelle Magazine, African Women's Development Fund, and Open Democracy.

Currently, Moiyattu provides communication solutions for women-owned social enterprises, consults for African female-owned startups, and imparts her knowledge by teaching Social Entrepreneurship at Columbia University. She actively serves on the board of the African Women's Development Fund-USA and coordinates the African Youth Philanthropy Network.
