Long version:
Writer, speaker, and entrepreneur with a focus on the intersection of community, culture, and commerce. My most recent role was as the Executive Director of Narrative & Content at Standard Chartered Bank. I led strategy development across more than 40 markets globally within the Digital Channels and Data Analytics Group, based in Singapore.
Previously, I co-founded Blavity Inc. and served as its Head of Corporate Brand. I led go-to-market strategies and driving industry penetration, which helped transform it into the leading media brand for Black millennials and Gen Z in the U.S., reaching over 100 million millennials and communities of color each month.
In 2019, I had the privilege of being a Nieman-Berkman Klein Fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism and the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. My work revolves around the evolution of black media in the digital era, exploring innovative methods to gauge black cultural impact and its implications for the media and advertising landscape, both nationally and internationally.
