Misty Mesaga

Misty Mesaga is a highly skilled and passionate geographer, writer, editor, and furniture repair business owner. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Geography and Cartography with a focus on social and environmental justice from Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She also studied Agricultural Communication/Journalism (Science Writing) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her multifaceted education enables her to combine technical skills such as GIS and cartography with her passion for making tangible positive changes in the world and individual lives. Mesaga is currently a Project Manager at Quanta Services, Inc. and has worked earlier as LIDAR and GIS Technician at Quantum Spatial. She used her skills to benefit community geography agencies and environmental and utility consulting companies while owning her business, Elemental Resources, LLC. Mesaga is the leader of her own organization, The Possibility Factory, focused on building creative, inspiring, and motivating community geared to encourage people to live life more fully. Her interests lie at disciplinary intersections and are always seeking professional expression of such overlaps. She is now looking for meaningful ways to earn a living while co-conspiring with like-minded people to live passionately.
